There are many different types of casino tables that you can use at your Las Vegas gaming establishment, but none is as ubiquitous as the black jack table. Blackjack is often played in a special black table with all the pertinent information on it for the player. You’ll find areas for bets, card deals and for dealer chips and even for glasses at the blackjack table! Below you’ll find the layout of a classic blackjack table.
The basic layout of a blackjack table in most casinos has four to six chairs facing each other. Two dealers sit at the four points of the blackjack table between the flop and the final bet, and three players sit at the two points between the flop and final payout. The dealer is always placed beyond the cups. The dealer will not, however, deal out any cards or make any calls in this phase of the game.
After the dealer reveals the cards, the players place their bets and the pot grow. The bets are placed into the cups and the dealer then calls the first five cards of the hand (dealters call poker hands, not regular hands). Once the first five cards are dealt, the other players have the opportunity to call the dealer to deal out another round of chips. If no player calls, the dealer calls the last five cards, and the players are required to place their bets again. This continues until someone calls the dealer to deal out a third round of chips.
Once someone has placed a bet, the dealer may then deal out another round of blackjack. At this point, the blinds are called and only players who are present can fold (remove their chips from the pot) by calling the dealer. After the blinds, another round of betting occurs, and it is at this point that a player with more chips than others will call the dealer to bet. Players in a multi-table blackjack game must remain in the table in order to win. However, if a player has an Ace in his or card reading hand, he may move to another table without having to leave his current table.
After all of the rounds of betting have ended, and the dealer has folded, the final round of betting occurs and players must split their winnings between the decks they brought, and any other decks that went beyond their original deck. Players may then take turns getting their hands sorted out. The player with the highest winning hand is declared the winner. This is also referred to as the blinds, or “dollars”. If a player is out of the blackjack room, they lose all of their money.
In multi-table blackjack games, the first card dealt face-up becomes the first card that is bet. After this card is dealt face-up, the dealer may deal any other additional cards that were not dealt face-up, up to a maximum of three. After the third card is dealt, all remaining players are turned over face down to determine the first card that is dealt face-up. At this point, anyone who had bet prior to this point is out of the game and must switch to another table.
